PYEONGCHANG,
South Korea — In what will almost certainly be her last time in an
Olympic start house, Lindsey Vonn pushed out of the gate for her final
run of the women’s Alpine combined late Thursday hoping, as she said,
“for a miracle.”
Vonn
led at the race’s halfway point by winning the downhill portion of the
event. But the second stage was slalom, a discipline she had barely
trained for in the last three months.
