Conor McGregor's foray into the boxing ring looks like a one-and-done event.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the UFC lightweight champion announced: "I am fighting again. Period."
McGregor said he put his name in the mix to replace Max Holloway at UFC 222 in a bout against former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.
Holloway
pulled out of the March 7 event in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise,
Nev., due to a leg injury. However, McGregor said in the post he "was
told there wasn't enough time to generate the money the UFC would need."
